Key responsibilities:
- Partner with Product Leadership to inform decisions and shape product strategy through data. Our Software Business Unit has many products and ambitious commercial projects in progress and you will understand the wider Commercial context and support Product Managers to most effectively dedicate their teams resources across these initiatives. This will involve highly collaborative work across cross-functional teams within Product (UX, Engineers etc.) and beyond Product (Sales, Marketing, Data Engineering etc.)
- Develop Products-specific reporting working collaboratively with Product Leadership to determine priorities. This includes KPI reporting, customer feature usage reporting and trends, user behaviour analysis, A/B experimentation design and results and insights to enable product team allocation of resources.
- Manage another Data Analyst and support their professional development
- Own the product analytics framework, creating the measurement & tracking plan for capturing the right data, and defining the metrics and methodology to build our understanding of our users’ behaviour. Collaborate with Central Analytics and Data Engineering on further database requirements for your stakeholders
Requirements:
- Significant experience working with Product teams as an Analyst, with demonstrable examples of how you have understood the wider Commercial context and worked cross-functionally to enable KPI reporting, strategic decision making and shaped product strategy through data
- Experience working with Senior stakeholders, and exceptional communication skills both verbally and in writing, including creating presentations that clearly convey your key messages. You are adept at building relationships across an organisation (Engineers, Product teams, Marketing etc.) and are respected for your clear insights and decision making skills and are effectively able to inform and influence others
- Experience of Management formally or informally, including goal-setting, peer reviews and coaching skills. You are adept at prioritising both for yourself and others, and enabling other stakeholders to sense-check and influence those priorities
- Professional experience using an advanced level of SQL to manipulate large data sets (transactions, complex joins, CTEs, window functions)
- Proficiency with Tableau or other data visualization tools such as PowerBI
- Experience using Python, APIs or other tools to automate and clean up fragrented data sets is a plus – as is experience with A/B testing
- Python, dbt and git experience would be a great bonus
