Job Description
This position will be responsible for gathering, structuring, and analyzing data to derive compelling insights that drive the optimization of our marketing initiatives. This includes the design and management of data collection and analytics solutions, analysis of the performance of marketing initiatives and their effect on engagement, conversion, and retention, working with Executive Publishing and brand teams, Marketing teams such as CRM, and business hubs.
What you’ll do
- Be a thought leader and spearhead data driven decision making amongst stakeholders.
- Translate the business questions and challenges from the stakeholders into Analytics projects.
- Deliver a cross-channel, brand level view of performance, insights, and recommendations.
- Convey the findings on campaign performance and drive optimization decisions with the stakeholders.
- Provide data analysis and reporting to identify trends and opportunities across channels, audience segments, and player segments.
- Set marketing targets based on financial ambition and industry benchmarks.
- Work with marketing teams to ensure marketing efforts are effective and drive incremental engagement and conversion.
- Perform measurements and develop testing strategies.
- Develop A/B and multivariate testing strategies.
- Use predictive analytics to analyze data from viewership, website interactions, media campaigns, CRM, and social platforms.
- Develop robust analytic processes to frame campaign expectations, inform decision-making, and recommend marketing strategies.
- Develop data science models and use statistical analysis to answer business questions from both brands and marketing service teams.
- Partner closely with Brand and Marketing teams to define measurement plans, generate insights, and deliver data driven POVs.
- Synthesize data from various sources to deliver actionable insights and codify learnings as best practices. Provide marketing data insight generation. Create narratives and actionable insights from complex data.
- Define and implement strategies for measuring and optimizing the impact of marketing activities on sales and user engagement.
- Create, guide, and distribute data and insights via regular and ad-hoc reporting utilizing analytics tools (SQL, Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint, Jupyter Hub, Dagster).
Qualifications
What you’ll bring
- Proven analytical skills; ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Strong quantitative skills, and experience utilizing scientific analytic methods, qualitative methods, and quantitative analysis techniques, as well as predictive modeling.
- Demonstrated success presenting complex qualitative and quantitative research data in a clear and compelling manner that inspires action.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, resourcefulness, and ability to self-direct.
- In-depth knowledge of SQL and Excel.
- Experience in generating insights from customer level data and aggregated data sources.
- Experience in programming, Jupyter, Python, R, or comparable statistical modeling tools.
- Programming experience and knowledge of Tableau.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is required in this role due to daily interactions with colleagues and external partners outside Quebec who are all English-speaking, including the manager of this role.

The San Francisco base salary range for this position is $96K to 120K USD. The base pay offered may vary based on a candidate’s geographic region, qualifications, skills and experience among other factors. Compensation details reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, stock options, or benefits.
