Job Description

ICF is looking for a Senior Data Architect to support an Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) project on the FDIC Strategy and Business Solutions Support Contract. In this role you will interpret the relationships between business and data logic for PeopleSoft and Oracle data stores. You will bring your expertise in software development to help guide a planning/analysis effort which will result in a recommendation for a replacement of the existing EPM solution. This position will work remotely for a Federal client based in Arlington, VA.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Understanding core enterprise data architecture principles and ensuring all recommendations are in adherence with client standards and approved architectures.

  • Reviewing and recommending an improved domain specific (e.g., master data or advanced analytics) architecture pattern.

  • Utilizing advanced knowledge of networking concepts, object-oriented technology, data warehousing, and relational database engines to document data logic and flows.

  • Understanding/interpreting relationships between business and data logic.

  • Explaining, in plain language, data logic used for current Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solution.

  • Understanding data manipulations and translating requirements into desired business logic.

  • Analyzing database structures and Oracle SQL data marts.

  • Reviewing and analyzing conceptual, logical, and physical database designs using data modeling approaches such SQL.

  • Providing technical leadership and governance for the EPM project.

  • Recommending suggestions and designs for robust, high-performance, adaptable, and appropriate database architecture and technologies.

  • Working with others to design and optimize data access, queries, reporting, and analysis strategies.

  • Working with the business to analyze, identify, and evaluate application issues to design new data sourcing processes.

  • Providing recommendations to enhance the organization’s data management framework.

  • Ensuring proposed data marts and data warehouses designs are scalable to handle data demands and to support optimal performance.

What you will need:

  • 8+ years of work experience with progressively increasing responsibilities and advanced knowledge of technologies relevant to the engagement.

  • US Citizenship (required by Federal Government).

  • The ability to successfully obtain a Public Trust, which involves a thorough background and financial investigation.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

  • Knowledge and experience building data marts using Oracle SQL.

  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft and Oracle data stores.

  • Experience with and knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software systems.

  • Experience using and/or advanced knowledge of PeopleSoft, PeopleSoft PeopleTools, and PeopleSoft Application Designer.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Federal Government work experience

  • Strong written and verbal technical communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Advanced proficiency in analytics, project planning, and negotiating,

  • Ability to independently identify and learn applicable new techniques.

  • Knowledge in Accounting, Budgeting, and Financial Reporting.

  • Ability to identify problems and use sound judgement to generate and evaluate alternatives to make recommendations.

  • Ability to thoroughly pay attention to details when performing and reviewing work.

  • Ability to work with clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, and satisfy their expectations

Pay Range – There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:

$92,986.00 – $158,076.00
