Job Description:

Your way to Impact:

As a Senior Credit Risk Business Intelligence Analyst, you will lead the development and maintenance of robust data models, conduct advanced analysis, and provide strategic insights to support our credit risk management initiatives. Your role will involve leveraging your deep expertise in SQL, Excel, Python, and financial modelling to drive innovation and excellence in credit risk analytics.

Your day to day:

  • Lead the development and optimization of complex SQL queries and data models to extract, manipulate, and analyse large datasets pertaining to credit risk.

  • Apply advanced statistical techniques and forecasting methods to uncover trends, identify risks, and provide actionable insights to key stakeholders.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including risk management, finance, and business intelligence, to understand requirements and deliver high-impact analytical solutions.

  • Design and implement automated reports, dashboards, and data visualization tools to facilitate data-driven decision-making and enhance risk monitoring capabilities.

  • Conduct scenario analysis, stress testing and sensitivity analysis to assess the potential impact of economic changes and market conditions on credit risk exposure.

  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, regulatory requirements and emerging trends in credit risk management to continuously enhance analytical capabilities and methodologies.

  • Mentor junior analysts and provide technical guidance and support to facilitate their professional growth and development.

What you need to bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. (Master’s degree preferred)

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in a similar role within the banking or financial services industry, with a strong focus on credit risk management and analytics.

  • Expert proficiency in SQL for complex data extraction, manipulation, and analysis, coupled with advanced data modelling and analysis.

  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or  Looker.

  • Extensive experience in developing and implementing financial models, risk analytics, and forecasting methodologies.

  • Strong programming skills in Python for automation, data manipulation, and integration tasks.

  • Demonstrated expertise in statistical analysis, forecasting techniques, and risk modelling.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset and a track record of delivering actionable insights to drive business decisions.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts and findings to diverse audiences.

  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to lead projects, mentor team members, and collaborate effectively across departments.

  • Strong attention to detail, coupled with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
