The Role:
As a Senior Data Engineer at Accomplishr, you will be instrumental in architecting, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure critical for analysis and decision making. You will:
- Design and construct high performance data processing systems that handle massive amounts of data.
- Develop, construct, test, and maintain robust data architecture including databases and large scale processing systems.
- Implement data flows to connect operational systems, data for analytics, and BI systems.
- Ensure data integrity and quality by using data governance tools and practices.
- Work closely with team members to assist with data related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
- Utilize cutting edge technology such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and others alongside AWS data services to ensure the efficiency of our data systems.
Requirements
Candidate Profile:
- Background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Software Developer, or similar role.
- Expertise in SQL database design and multiple scripting languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.
- Strong familiarity with data warehousing solutions (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery).
- Experience with big data tools (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) and data frameworks (Apache Airflow).
- Knowledge in data mining and preprocessing techniques.
- Proven analytical skills and the ability to work with large, complex data sets from multiple sources.
- Detail Oriented with an aptitude for problem solving and optimization.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
