Job Description

Are you a bright Senior Developer, who has technical and insurance business background in Mainframe environment? DB2, CICS, CA Gen, PL/1, Cobol, or integrations with Stored procedures, Rest APIs and messaging queues are familiar? We are looking for a seasoned professional to join our well-working team, to help us develop and maintain our critical customer data systems in Pohjola Insurance.  

 

What is the role and the team like? 

 

As a Senior Developer, you will be developing software in a scrum team, helping in software testing and building integrations. As a Senior Developer you will also have the chance to influence how we work as a team. We have a multi-cultural team, where we respect and help each other. You would be joining a well-working team, with experienced professional as colleagues to help you succeed! Our agile team consist of software developers, a Solution Analyst, a product owner and other roles supporting our development work.  

 

This is a permanent position based in either Helsinki or Oulu, depending on your preference. For this role, having an understanding of the Finnish language is beneficial.

 

What we hope from you? 

 

We expect you to already possess several years of experience in a similar role. You have good co-operation skills, and you want to collect and analyze information, come up with new solutions, share your knowledge, learn new, and help your team members to succeed developing software.  

 

As a Software Developer, we hope you have 5+ years of experience in mainframe hands-on development and interest in learning or you already are familiar with technologies such as DB2, CICS, CA Gen, PL/1, Cobol you have worked with 5+ years.
