Job Description

As a DevOps AI Engineer on the Edge Platform team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our organization has powerful applied AI solution available to support development. You will join a team that is at the forefront of developing and operating centrally managed edge clouds, which extend fixed campus networks with wireless technology and run applications on the same edge. You will have the opportunity to work with the latest container and cloud native technologies, making this role a great learning opportunity.

You will participate to data gathering and processing from internal sources, make data available to AI, and ensure end users can access AI knowledge. To support our AI architecture development, you will follow latest trends and solutions, and help to onboard the required building blocks to our AI architecture. You strengthen the theoretical understanding of the mechanisms behind.

You will collaborate closely with developers to understand where AI can help them. The work environment at Nokia is dynamic and innovative, filled with experts in various fields. Nokia MX Industrial Edge, MXIE, is the next evolution of our Edge platform and we use the latest tools to support development. You are responsible for ensuring that our applied AI learns what we know and integrate it also for easy consumption. You are able to develop and drive forward applied AI solutions and integrate them to our workflows. You import data from new sources, keep AI infra running and extend it from hardware to your own code.

A hands-on attitude, quick learning and trying new ideas are highly appreciated. Exact qualifications may vary depending on the focus, and we want to find a good match with your interests. Our architecture team is working with a wide range of topics, from research to operational topics, and you can learn from the best experts.

You should have Master’s or bachelor’s degree in neural networks, information management, computer science, cloud, or other relevant fields.

Programming in cloud infrastructure, researching AI, handling data are your main skills and interests.

   Expert programmer in Golang and Python and flexibility with other languages
   Experience with software development organizations and processes
   Experience with applied AI solutions
   Experience with data collection and API development
   Experience with (vector) databases, information management
   Experience with cloud infrastructure and infrastructure as code
   Understanding math behind applied AI solutions
   Fluent in spoken and written English
