Senior Engineer
Job Description
Shipt, Inc. seeks a full-time Senior Engineer based in San Francisco, CA. Duties: Research, design, and develop Artificial Intelligence (AI) software and solutions. Analyze user needs and develop AI software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, machine learning, and mathematical analysis. This position requires a Master’s degree or equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar quantitative STEM field and 1 year of experience in proffered position or similar position (e.g., Engineer, Data Engineer, Software Engineer, Software Developer) in software development. Work experience must also include at least 1 year of experience with the following: (1) developing and deploying machine learning models or statistical models; (2) developing data pipelines using big data technologies (e.g., Spark); (3) Python and API development frameworks (e.g., Django); (4) cloud computing services and platforms (e.g., AWS or GCP); and (5) SQL. Salary: $184,662 to $242,974/year. This position is hybrid. A candidate may work from the company’s San Francisco address or from the candidate’s home address, which must be within commuting distance (which may include the San Jose – Sunnyvale – Santa Clara CA area), as authorized by a manager. Limited travel to company’s offices for work reasons may be needed.
