Job Description

We are pleased to announce the opening for an Enterprise Data Architect who will join our Technical Solutions Team in Huntsville, AL and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control marketspaces. You will be part of a team known for providing digital transformation services to a variety of customers.

 

Responsibilities
 Developing and maintain an enterprise data strategy aligned with business objectives and IT initiatives.

Designing robust, scalable, and efficient data architectures that support current and future needs of the organization.

Leading the implementation of data management best practices, including data modeling, metadata management, data quality, and data governance.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and ensure alignment with business processes.

Evaluating emerging technologies and trends in data management to identify opportunities for innovation and optimization.

Providing technical guidance and mentorship to data engineering and analytics teams.

Defining and enforcing data standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.

Partnering with stakeholders to prioritize and execute data projects according to established timelines and budget constraints.

Performing regular assessments of data architecture to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

Communicating complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • You must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • You will need 7+ years of full-time professional experience.  Prefer 10+ years of experience in data management or architecture
  • You must possess or can obtain an active Secret clearance. 
  • You must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in data modeling techniques and tools.
  • Proficiency in database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, and big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive consensus among stakeholders.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Experience utilizing AI/ML techniques
  • Experience with cloud-based data services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Industry certifications such as CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) or TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) are desirable.
