About Us
The Engineering Data Hub drives transformation and implementation of data, analytics & AI within Volvo Cars Engineering. The department handles competence growth and collaborations within data, analytics & AI. The department is cross-functional, consisting of data engineers, data scientists, machine learning engineers and software engineers developing product applications and services with both direct and indirect connection to our cars. By analyzing large amounts of vehicle data with customer centric analytics & AI, we enhance our products with new and improved functions and services.
We are now looking for a senior machine learning (ML) engineer that can complement our team in building automated solutions for extracting insights and building new functions for our vehicles and services. We seek a person with experience in building efficient and robust AI systems from early concept ideas to production ready code and applications. You are technically skilled and can drive projects forward by leading the technical development hands on, and by effective collaboration and knowledge sharing with others.
Required Qualitfications
• PhD or MSc in statistics, machine learning, computer science, applied mathematics or other related field. Or proven experience achieved by other means.
• 3+ years of experience as a machine learning engineer (or equivalent).
• Strong programming skills and in-depth knowledge of machine learning frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow and scikit-learn).
• Strong hands-on experience with developing scalable cloud solutions for ETL, training and deployment pipelines for ML models demanding large amounts of data.
• Experience in MLOps practices covering the whole machine learning lifecycle.
• Strong communication skills.
Meritorious
• Experience of verification and validation of ML algorithms and functional safety.
• Strong industrial experience from automotive is regarded as an advantage.
• Experience in analytics and modelling of time series data.
• Edge computing for distributed analytics and AI.
