Role
Debtwire, an ION Analytics company is the leading provider of news and analysis for the global fixed income markets. Our North American product provides sophisticated investors and advisors with deep-dive coverage of public and private companies, with an emphasis on high-yield, distressed and restructuring borrowers. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Restructuring Data Reporter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing insightful content on debt restructuring topics (long-form research pieces examining trends in US industries) while also helping to oversee our company’s restructuring database, ensuring accurate and timely data entry. This is key since our clients depend on this data and research to make key business decisions.
Our office in in New York City, however, we will consider remote candidates for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality research content, including reports, articles, and presentations related to debt restructurings.
  • Work with our team of court reporters and legal analysts to produce charts and visuals that help to display various restructuring trends.
  • Help to edit content produced by junior members of the team.
  • Help to oversee the restructuring database, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Develop and implement data management policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and data quality.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • You should have 5+ years of experience either working in finance or covering financial markets.
  • A thorough understanding of debt securities is essential. Knowledge of the restructuring process will be considered a significant advantage.  Ideal backgrounds might be: Credit Analyst, a Restructuring Attorney, or a highly numerate Distressed Debt/Financial Restructuring Reporter.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Highly numerate.
  • Ability to manage workflow under strict deadlines.

Salary Range
The estimated salary range is $130,000 – $170,000. Salary is negotiable depending on experience and skills.
