The Senior Specialist (Contract) position is a key role in the TalentNeuron research practice based in Bengaluru. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of a growing team at a private equity owned HR analytics company. While the position will be based in Bengaluru, you will work closely with teammates spread across offices in Washington DC, London, Quebec City, and Chennai. The Senior Specialist (Contract) position is a key role in the TalentNeuron research practice based in Bengaluru. While the position will be based in Bengaluru, you will work closely with teammates spread across offices in Washington DC, London, Quebec City, and Chennai. The incumbent will learn how to generate insights from large-scale, multi-TB data in partnership with a diverse team of data science, data product, advisory, and research
What You Will Do:
- Efficiently work with large datasets (job descriptions, personal profiles, government population figures, and university graduation records) to generate global labor market insights.
- Build robust data models and create advanced analytics solutions to solve global HR problems.
- Partner with team lead and advisors to create research scope documents; work with the team to create client-ready custom research reports.
- Communicate insights and analysis to internal stakeholders and Fortune 500 clients in a clear and effective manner, with the help of creative visualization and presentation skills.
- Represent the Research team in key checkpoints with Product, Advisory and Tech teams based in United States (Washington, DC area), United Kingdom (London) and Canada (Quebec City) in addition to Bengaluru and Chennai
- Stay abreast of key labor market trends (Location analysis, Machine Learning, Workforce Planning, Competitor Analysis, Strategic Sourcing, Fresh Talent/University Analysis, Diversity Analysis, Employer Value Proposition). Over a period, develop expertise on one or two terrains.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years OR Master’s degree with 3+ years of related experience in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 college with a strong CGPA from reputed institutes.
- A solid understanding of statistical concepts, data science and modeling techniques, with an advanced ability to programmatically manipulate data using Python, R, SAS, SQL, and data visualization tools. Ability to learn new concepts and approaches quickly and learn independently from web tutorials, books, and discussion forums.
- Superior data interpretation skills. Strong analytical and statistical skills to analyze data, interpret results, and make informed decisions about model specifications
- A strategic mindset to bring out the “so what” of the data. An ability to apply logical, structured frameworks to complex problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders from across the globe
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards
