HSE & QMS is a part of QHSE Services in Engineering Business Service Center (EBSC), Global Manufacturing. This department is responsible for Business process creation/rollout, conducting Internal Audits, performing HSE Reviews and promoting Safety & Quality Culture across Global Manufacturing.
Responsibilities
The Health Safety and Environmental Program Data Specialist will serve as the data mentor for our Health Safety and Environmental team, supporting a wide range of applications, data, and analysis requests related to environmental, health and safety. This role partners closely with a wide range of cross-functional partners including Production Management, Regional & Functional HSE, Finance, Legal, Risk Management, and Sustainability.
- Analyse data and develop insightful dashboards, memos, and presentations summarizing the data related to Health Safety & Environment programs, projects, and performance
- Collaborate with the Risk Management, Production Management, Finance, and Health Safety & Environment teams across functions to improve our data systems over time, including the data itself and the tools that will help us to analyse and interpret results and trends
- Compile Health and Safety data and other regulatory requirements to develop department scorecards
- Develop tools and analysis to support decision-making related to how we prioritize Health Safety & Environment initiatives
- Assist with the collection of large data sets from a variety of internal and external sources, organize data, clean and transform data into needed formats for further analysis
- Support value chain emission calculations using a variety of approaches, including spend-based and activity-based approaches, following the guidance provided
- Support in research of developing methodologies and best practices
- Conduct QA/QC of input data and calculations, troubleshoot inconsistencies in data or calculations, and assist in completing internal validation and 3rd party verification of data and calculations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience). Preferably in Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability.
- 8-10 years of experience in a highly analytical environment (e.g., management consulting, corporate analytics, strategy, and operations, or other roles requiring a blend of analytical, strategic, and cross-functional )
- Experience working with various EHS IT applications tools, preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Outlook).

- Strong analytical skills and an ability to synthesize information across a broad system to diagnose problems and devise solutions
- Comfortable with ambiguity; able to thrive with minimal oversight and process, while keeping leadership informed on progress against deadlines
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, possess an abundance of intellectual curiosity, focus on generating results, and exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity
- Effective verbal, written and listening communication skills are required
- Must be able to take on projects from idea through completion
- Understanding the manufacturing production process, including organizational structure, terminology, equipment, engineering practices, etc. is a plus
- Knowledge on Lean six sigma concepts
