The Sr. BI/Data Analyst will work collaboratively with other functional business teams, finance, data engineering and data science teams, partner and product teams, while getting broad exposure to the eHealth business.  Using data-driven approaches, the senior analyst will provide insights to the leadership team on the current state of the ecommerce business as well as recommendations for the next steps.  This role will analyze very complex and large sets of data, develop, and maintain dashboards to monitor key performance indicators that will be used widely by the management team. Successful candidates for this role have strong analytical experience, are structured thinkers with strong data skills, can navigate ambiguity, and are always looking for strategic opportunities to improve business performance with data.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

  • Develop and execute and analytical framework in support of delivering a world class digital experience to our consumers across product lines.
  • Utilize all available analytical resources throughout the organization to ensure a 360-degree view of the consumer is incorporated into analytical work, to support a culture of collaboration across the organization, and to share key learnings/insights to help others ideate new opportunities.
  • Create and deliver deep analytical insights into the customer journey, addressing all relevant aspects – pathways, obstacles/opportunities, platform (e.g. mobile/desktop), marketing source, audience, mode (e.g. phone and web), etc.
  • Establish strong relationships with product managers to ensure alignment in strategic vision and supporting opportunities, and to build and prioritize the roadmap by estimating the opportunity size of all product initiatives through quantitative analysis.
  • Work with product managers and the testing/optimization team to identify and test against key opportunities and challenges related to the customer journey.
  • Responsible for end-to-end design and development of high visibility projects including data mining, data analysis and visualization via BI applications (e.g., Tableau or Looker).
  • Proactively engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate the requirements into business and technical requirements.
  • Analyze numbers, uncover trends, and draw conclusions based on the findings. Leverage problem solving skills and frameworks to develop solutions.
  • Communicate analytic insights to senior management and business stakeholders, and present complex information simply, easily, and clearly.
  • Build cross-functional relationships with Data Scientists, Product Managers and Data Engineers to understand data needs and deliver on those needs.
  • Influence channel leadership to pursue our hypotheses so that we better serve customers and grow our business.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Computer Science or related degree
  • 3+ years of direct, relevant experience at a technology or e-commerce related business
  • 3+ years of experience supporting product, business or operations teams in an analytical capacity
  • 3+ years of experience with SQL, data modeling, and BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Adobe Analytics)  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of defining and executing key analysis with minimal supervision.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience in writing complex queries.
  • Development experience in any scripting language like Python is a plus
  • Web analytics experience in Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, etc.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing tools like Adobe Test & Target, Optimizely.
  • Experience in statistical tools such as Excel, R, SAS.
  • Experience in eCommerce or healthcare industry.

The base pay range reflects the anticipated pay range for this position. The actual base pay offered will depend on various factors including individual skills, experience, performance, qualifications, the department budget, and the location where work is performed. Base pay is one component of eHealth’s total rewards package, which also includes an annual performance bonus, plus an array of benefits designed to support employees’ personal and professional wellness. Base Pay Range -$92,500 – $115,600
