Job Description

Job Function 

 

Our team is responsible for building Visa’s Pricing Platform and Revenue Data Pipelines. The core of the Pricing Platform is a pricing engine applied to each card swipe on a global basis. The Revenue Data Pipelines manage data on how Visa makes its money. Our systems and data are highly leveraged for the monetization of Visa products and services.

 

Job Duties

  • Participate in the entire lifecycle, from design through the development and test processes to production support. 

  • Tasked with building and maintaining highly scalable data processing pipelines using BigData technologies and SOA architecture. 

  • Implement continuous integration, testing, deployment practices and automation frameworks to increase productivity. 

  • Responsible for identifying opportunities for further enhancements and refinements on standards, processes, application functionalities, and operation excellence. 

  • Work with architectural and security teams to design, build, and maintain services that are compliant and meet Visa security standards.

  • Participate in cross-group and internal customer feature demos. 

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
Hands-on experience with all aspects of software development data, serverside, and opensource software.
Willingness to adapt quickly and learn newer technologies
6 years of software development using Java or Python
3 year of development experience in Hive and Spark
6 years of experience writing complex SQL queries for development & data analysis
5 years of experience on Unix and shell scripting
Experience in JIRA and Jenkins CI and CD
Experience in DevOps and agile methodology

Nice to Have

Knowledge in AI or ML, especially solution building using ChatGPT and GenAI, Github Copilot
Databricks Kafka, Presto, Solr, Nifi, Airflow, Sqoop
Rules engine
