Job Description

The intern will work with senior engineers in the the team to create a tool for WDC’s high volume manufacturing environment. Tasks include (but are not limited to):

– Performing a survey of multiple foundational models on AWS Bedrock. 

– Document, benchmark, and report model behavior and performance. 

– Evaluating various text input & Image input patterns to yield text outputs, code output, or image output for applicable models using WDC operational data types.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Economics, or a related field with completion occurring between December 2024 and June 2026.
  • Strong Data Science/Data Analytics specific programming skills.
  • Understanding of embedded systems and firmware development.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preference given to candidates who will not require relocation to the Irvine, CA area.
