System Software Engineer – Robotics
Job Description
We are now looking for a System Software Engineer for our Robotics Team! For two decades, we have pioneered visual computing, the art and science of computer graphics. With our invention of the GPU – the engine of modern visual computing – the field has expanded to encompass video games, movie production, research, and autonomous machines. The team is building a robotics platform for developing the next generation of intelligent robots. NVIDIA’s ISAAC Robotics Platform binds together high-fidelity visual and physical simulation, a high-quality development platform, hundreds of optimized algorithms to tackle hard problems in computer vision and artificial intelligence, and a small but powerful computational platform to form the brain of intelligent machines. Our team consists of experts from all over the world and dozens of different fields, and together we want to change the way robots are programmed. What We Do: NVIDIA Isaac ROS
What you’ll be doing:

Contribute to the development of software frameworks aimed at helping robots perceive and interact with the world

Develop, integrate, and test various system level components to enable robots to interact with their environment

Debug, and optimize whole stack software from the application to system level drivers

Create innovative ways to define robot validation scenarios and measure KPIs of robotics software in terms of functionality and performance.

Excellent coding skills are a must to create the entire framework
-
Work closely with dependent teams for their deliverables

Responsible for issue management during integration, testing, deployment & QA
What we need to see:
-
BS, MS, PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)

2+ years of experience
-
Experience working in distributed systems and embedded software roles
-
Excellent C, C++, and Python programming
-
Proficient data analysis & software design skills
-
Ability to learn fast & debug complex system issues
-
Flexibility to adapt quickly to varying roles & responsibilities
-
Strong communication skills & a team player
Ways To Stand Out from the crowd:
-
Expertise with ROS (middleware, ecosystem, development, debugging tools)
-
1+ years of hands-on development and field experience with production robots
-
Strong grasp of deep learning applications for robotics
-
Specialty in perception, motion planning, or controls
-
Knowledge of Docker containers, Kubernetes for scale and deployment

The base salary range is 116,000 USD – 270,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
