Description and Requirements

As a Lenovo Workstation Customer Solutions Engineer on the Technical Solutions Team, you will focus on the following:
- Engage directly with customers, partners, resellers, and global account teams to understand their requirements and provide detailed, tailored solutions to meet those requirements.
- Provide relentless sales support for all incoming technical questions and issues.
- Work with our Performance Engineering team to ensure all performance related metrics are properly analyzed and supported.
- Interface with the global Workstation Customer solutions team, as well as other teams that help support the overall Workstation Business Unit mission (procurement, project management, product marketing, development, sales, engineering, etc.) to help solve technical problems and test/deliver optimized functional solutions for our customers.
- Be comfortable discussing complex technical issues with people of various levels of experience, and explaining concepts in an easy-to-understand manner to broad audiences.
- Work to create detailed technical documentation for a variety of topics related to Workstation design and function.
- Provide assistance and support for other engineers in the Customer Solutions Team.
- Act as a technical liaison between the Workstation Customer Solutions Team and OEM BU to provide assistance and technical solutions for Workstation specific OEM customer requests.
- Support new AI related initiatives within the Workstation BU.
Basic Qualifications
- B.S. and/or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar field.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (English).
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years’ experience with PC/Workstation system engineering/design.
- Strong technical understanding of current PC architecture and design trends.
- Knowledge of BIOS/UEFI, Windows/Linux operating systems, and device drivers/FW.
- Excellent technical debug and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to be flexible and work on other related projects, roles, or responsibilities that might not be listed here specifically.
- Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and methodologies as it relates to Workstation hardware.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of both small, focused teams and larger cross-functional teams.
- Fast paced, self-motivated team player with an attention to detail and customer first attitude.
This position will be based in our North America Headquarters in Raleigh, NC. To be considered, candidates need to be local to Raleigh or willing to relocate on their own.
