About Candidate
I am Cenk Kerem Cengiz, a fourth-year student in the department of Computer Engineering at Middle East Technical University. I have been interested in Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning since I started studying computer engineering. Throughout my education, I have completed several internships to learn theoretical and practical aspects of AI. I especially took AI-related technical elective courses and tried to gain hands-on experience through programming assignments. I am currently working on Parameter-efficient fine-tuning of Vision Language models (CLIP and SLIP), and ranking based loss functions.

Experiences
Worked on the RoboRoyale Project (EU). Created a local weather station using Arduino, Raspberry Pi and sensors, and integrated the system with ROS2.
Conducting research on the class imbalance problem in Computer Vision (DENGE Project). Working on the SLIP and CLIP models to improve its accuracy, fine-tuning it for downstream tasks (using parameter efficient finetuning methods, such as LoRA), and studying its robustness against highly imbalanced data
