I joined Trimble as a Computer Vision Engineer in an R&D developer role. My projects included working with 3D scans, LiDAR, Digital to Physical mapping, odometry and thermal imaging, among a host of other exciting projects like robotics (using Spot) or GNSS positioning. I have helped start learning groups, designed maker spaces and helped pioneer some of the most innovative ideas in the company. I was also the primary owner and primary R&D personnel associated with both multi spectral odometry and 3D BIM registration digital-to-physical (BIM Digital Twin) )transformation project.
I was the JRF/SRF recruited under the project 2535/DIPR-II/MD/CARS-01 which had the twin objectives of developing modules for Illumination Normalization and Thermal Image Colorization. Both objectives were successfully completed on time, and the project has been submitted to DRDO after completion. The project was mainly based on image analysis, and the related modules were created based on Deep Learning and Thermal Image fusion.
