Job Description

Join Mitie – the future of high performing places.

ROLE: Senior Analyst LOCATION: Hybrid CONTRACT: Full Time

At Mitie, our people are our greatest strength, and our purpose is to create places where people can thrive and perform at their best every day. We’re looking for a Senior Analyst to operate within a hub‑and‑spoke analytics model, embedded within a contract team while remaining aligned to our central Advanced Analytics function.

This is a high‑impact role focused on bridging the gap between business need and technical delivery, owning analytics solutions end‑to‑end and delivering measurable business outcomes.

Role Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities and deliver end‑to‑end analytics solutions, from problem definition through to deployment.
  • Develop high‑quality Power BI dashboards to drive informed decision‑making.
  • Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and business narratives.
  • Drive data visualisation best practice and storytelling across stakeholders.
  • Automate reporting, KPIs, and business processes using Power Automate and integrated data solutions.
  • Build and optimise data models and analytics solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem.
  • Apply statistical techniques and machine learning concepts to deliver deeper business insight.
  • Collaborate with the Data & AI Centre of Excellence to enhance data structures and solutions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and scale analytics capability across the contract.
  • Work directly with operational and commercial stakeholders to shape demand, challenge requirements, and deliver value‑driven solutions.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience across the Microsoft analytics stack, including:
    • Microsoft Fabric (preferred or willingness to learn)
    • Power BI (Power Query, DAX)
    • SQL for data extraction and transformation
    • Python for data analysis, modelling, and automation
    • Power Automate and workflow automation
  • Strong data modelling, preparation, and visualisation skills.
  • Proven experience delivering end‑to‑end analytics solutions, not just reporting.
  • Understanding of integrating analytics solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem.
  • Exposure to AI tooling and statistical analysis techniques.

Stakeholder & Business Skills

  • Strong ability to engage with non‑technical stakeholders and translate business problems into technical solutions.
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly and influence decision‑making.
  • Experience working within operational or contract environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with confidence to challenge and shape requirements.
  • Able to work independently and prioritise effectively in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Attributes

  • Pragmatic, outcome‑focused, and commercially aware.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and evolving requirements.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical mindset.
  • Self‑motivated, accountable, and delivery‑focused.
  • Collaborative, working effectively across both embedded and central teams.

What’s in it for you?

  • Opportunity to work at the heart of data‑driven decision‑making within a contract environment.
  • Exposure to advanced analytics, AI, and modern data platforms.
  • Access to Mitie’s Choices platform, including lifestyle benefits and wellbeing support.
  • Structured career development and progression opportunities.
  • Recognition through the Mitie Stars programme.
