Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a critical technology to help advance Northern Trust’s corporate performance objectives: Optimizing Growth, Strengthening Resiliency, and Driving Productivity. The One Horizon AI Program is a multi-year transformation initiative to embed responsible, scalable AI capabilities across the enterprise—enabling intelligent automation, data-driven insights, and enhanced client and partner experiences. AI capabilities within this program span foundational infrastructure and applied solutions. These capabilities are being developed and deployed in a highly regulated environment, requiring robust governance, risk management, and stakeholder alignment.

Role Summary The AI Capability Product Manager is a senior product leader and change agent responsible for driving the strategy, development, and adoption of one or more enterprise AI capabilities. This role operates within either the Infrastructure & Data Integration workstream or the AI Capabilities workstream, depending on alignment and expertise.

You will lead cross-functional teams to deliver transformative AI solutions—such as the core AI guardrails and embedding platform, low-code AI automation tools, semantic data services, or multi-agent digital employee frameworks. You will shape product vision, manage execution, and ensure responsible deployment at scale. Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Roadmap Convene and lead business stakeholders, technology teams, and risk domains to solve complex problems.

Define and maintain product vision, strategy, and multi-phase roadmap aligned to enterprise AI goals and regulatory requirements. Translate complex business needs into clear product requirements and user stories. Develop and implement product business cases, capability OKRs, and prioritization frameworks.

Build cross-functional alignment and influence with senior executives and other stakeholders Execution & Delivery Lead agile product development teams through backlog management, sprint planning, and release cycles. Manage delivery of core capabilities and product features across infrastructure, data, and AI solution domains.

Monitor project schedules, costs, and risks; provide strategic solutions and unblock delivery challenges. Ensure capabilities meet internal governance standards. Support product and use case risk approvals, incident management, and ongoing operational compliance.

Capability Enablement & Operations Partner with engineering, support, and operations teams to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions. Lead vendor risk assessment and ongoing management for third-party AI providers. Contribute to enterprise-wide playbooks, frameworks, and reusable assets to accelerate capability deployment.

Qualifications 8+ years of product management experience, preferably in enterprise technology, data platforms, or AI solutions. Proven track record of delivering complex products in regulated environments (e. g.
