This is a leadership engineering role in AI within Developer Software Engineering – Analyzer Engineering team.
The role spans working with architects to expand, enhance performance analysis software products as part of oneAPI and 3rd party AI profilers. As AI software performance engineer, you will be involved in undertaking performance tuning and optimization of deep learning models based on TensorFlow and Pytorch using the knowledge to improve, develop and enhance our tools. Additionally, you will be expected to influence, develop new features for AI analysis in our tools. This is a high impact role working with internal, external customers and driving their success, while making Intel a world leader in AI.

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s with or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Physics or Mathematics or a related relevant Engineering discipline
Experience working in Machine Learning or AI in one of the following roles: Developing / deploying models or implementing or performance benchmarking AI workloads
Experience with performance benchmarking, performance profiling, workload analysis and optimization of an AI application
Prior experience in deployment strategies , performance optimization, multi node, multi GPU scaling big plus
Experience in one or more of the following areas: Tensor Flow, Pytorch, Numpy etc
Excellent C++ programming skills and any one of the following C/Python/Bash/Scripting Languages
Good to have knowledge of parallel programming technologies such as DPC++, MPI, OpenMP, OpenCL etc
Enablement of new deep learning models from various domains in Intel OpenVINO toolkit
Efficiency analysis of existing algorithms and finding areas for performance improvement
Experience in deploying/ optimizing distributed training on CPU/ GPU clusters is a big plus
Experience in low level software optimization, vectorization to maximize hardware utilization
Excellent debugging skills with GDB/ WinDBG
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Linux/ Windows device driver development or embedded software development
New hardware enabling experience through AI frameworks
Strong production software engineering background, experience with CI, code reviews, paired programming, unit and integration testing
Proficiency in working with UNIX/ Linux environments and command-line tools
Self-motivated and adaptive to evolving requirements and able to contribute independently
Ability to work in cross-geo Agile team environment and excellent communication skills
