It acts as a proactive partner during design and reviews, flagging gaps in requirement coverage, traceability, and standards before they turn into rework or audit findings. Teams use Tandem to shorten review cycles, reduce manual audit prep, and avoid expensive late-stage design changes.

Role Description

We are seeking an AI Engineer Intern for a part-time, hybrid position (flexible) in San Fransisco. You’ll work on our AI/ML pipeline that powers semantic search, design intent analysis, and documentation generation across CAD workflows.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Computer Science principles, including algorithms and data structures
• Experience in Software Development, including coding, debugging, and testing
• Familiar with AI/ML concepts such as LLMs and RAG
• Problem-solving abilities and a strong analytical mindset
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment within an on-site setting
• Pursuing or holding a degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field

 Nice to Have

• Experience with OpenCASCADE or CAD file formats (STEP, SLDASM)
• Are familiar with and/or have used CAD softwares
• Background in geometric analysis or computational geometry
