AI Engineer – Swarm Behavior & Autonomous Decision-Making (m/w/d) all levels
Job Description
Your mission
- Develop decentralized AI algorithms for UAV swarm coordination and autonomous decision-making
- Design and implement multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) models for adaptive swarm behavior
- Optimize swarm communication and distributed consensus protocols (e.g., V2V, DDS, ZeroMQ)
- Enhance real-time decision-making under uncertainty using probabilistic models (e.g., Bayesian networks, MCTS)
- Work with sensor fusion (Radar, Lidar, EO/IR, Acoustic, RF) to enable collaborative perception
- Develop AI-based threat assessment models to predict hostile UAV behavior
- Deploy and optimize algorithms for low-latency execution on embedded and edge AI platforms
Your profile
- 3+ years experience in AI/ML for autonomous systems, robotics, or multi-agent systems
- Strong expertise in reinforcement learning (RL), game theory, or swarm intelligence
- Proficiency in Python, C++, or Rust for AI-driven real-time systems
- Experience with robotics middleware (ROS2, DDS, MAVLink) for swarm coordination
- Understanding of distributed computing, federated learning, and consensus algorithms
- Familiarity with real-world UAV swarm deployment and testing environments
Nice to have
- Experience with neuromorphic computing and bio-inspired swarm intelligence
- Background in adversarial AI for swarm defense and countermeasure strategies
- Knowledge of AI ethics, safety, and explainability in autonomous UAV applications
