Your New Role…
The Analyst, Experimentation will support CNN Digital’s A/B and multivariate testing efforts, including experiment design, prioritization, results analysis, and insights communication in close partnership with cross-functional web and app product teams. He/she will support day-to-day execution of A/B testing efforts. The Experimentation team is part of the Research & Analytics team and collaborates closely with team members to support data-driven decision making.  
Your Role Accountabilities…
• Support product development with guidance on when to A/B and multivariate tests, including providing best practices for experiment design, hypothesis definition, KPI selection, requirements gathering, experiment coordination and documentation
• Design and execute experiments supporting strategic initiatives that drive product insights to inform decision making and prioritization of product features/enhancements that increase user engagement and retention. 
• Ensure the maintenance and monitoring of the operational status of experiment queues, roadmaps, test schedules, and in-flight tests.
• Establish strong and productive relationships with product management and cross-functional teams to understand the needs of the business and use that knowledge to inform experimentation strategy
• Collaborate cross-functionally around strategic initiatives with larger Research & Analytics team to align resources and methodology with business needs 
Qualifications & Experience…
• At least 1 year of work experience focused on digital optimization and A/B and multivariate testing experience or related role
• Experience with A/B testing platforms, preferably Optimizely, including understanding of HTML, Javascript, JQuery, & CSS to set up experiments. 
• Experience calculating sample size needed to reach statistically significant results and measuring the statistical significance of tests 
• Working knowledge of digital analytics KPIs and tools, including SQL and Adobe Analytics (or similar tool)
• Experience working with cross functional teams in support of product development
• Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver complex messages to diverse audiences
The Nice to Haves…
• BS/BA in Math, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Economics, Finance or related fields or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools like Tableau, Domo, Looker
• Experience with Python, R, or similar statistical tools is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of the digital consumer behavior, including expertise in delivering analytics, insights, and results that inform decision making and strategy
• Experience working in digital news or a strong interest in news.
