The Role
We are looking for an Analytics Engineer to join our fast-growing Technology team here at Wpromote. In this role, you will grow our clients’ marketing performance goals by implementing best in class conversion tracking across a variety of analytics and ad platforms. You will manage an assigned work queue and will be responsible for testing and quality assurance. You will have the opportunity to learn new languages and platforms, including developing custom tracking solutions to help client teams measure key performance indicators.

The anticipated annual salary for this role will range from $80,000 – $98,000, based on consideration of a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, education and certifications, competitive benchmarks, scope of responsibility, market dynamics, geographic location, and respective state’s salary threshold for exempt employees. The total compensation package for this role will include benefits (listed above).

You Will Be

  • Responsible for the overall health of clients’ event tracking infrastructure
  • Implementing, maintaining, and documenting tracking solutions in tag management systems such as GTM, & Adobe Launch
  • Identifying and resolving data quality issues across a variety of data sources
  • Developing scripts to pull data from data objects, dataLayers, JavaScript variables, or the DOM
  • Implementing and configuring CDPs (Customer Data Platforms) such as Segment.io and Tealium
  • Configuring Mobile Measurement Platforms such as Branch.io
  • Implementing server-side solutions like server-side Google Tag Manager to transport analytics and ads tracking data to vendor/internal endpoints using an intermediary endpoint
  • Configuring GA4 (Google Analytics 4) platforms for clients, including custom reports, conversions, goals, and channel groupings
  • Auditing Google Analytics Platform implementations for accurate reporting
  • Partnering with internal Wpromote teams to collect business requirements and effectively translate them into technical and functional solutions
  • Communicating complex requirements to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Mentoring Junior Analytics Engineers by reviewing deliverables to ensure quality assurance checks and best practices are in place

You Must Have

  • A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) is required
  • 2-3+ years of web development or comparable analytics experience
  • The ability to work independently and proactively escalate issues up
  • Tagging proficiency in different frameworks
  • Understanding of server-side solutions that transport data from the server endpoints to analytics platforms
  • Understanding of Mobile Measurement Platform tracking
  • Knowledge of analytics platforms such as GA4, Adobe Analytics, and/or Amplitude
  • Knowledge of Consumer Data Platforms
  • Valued thought leadership in the digital marketing atmosphere
  • Hands on experience with server side tracking and privacy tools
  • Ability to prioritize multiple obligations and deliver quality, accurate work
  • Desire to maximize the development of self and others
