If you want to be at the core of how a major international company leverages data across its expansive operations, this is the place for you. Your work will impact the lives of over 2 million customers and contribute to real-time decision-making, analytics, and operational processes.

Do you have a passion for data and a knack for transforming complex data into actionable insights? Join us as an Analytics Engineer in our Data Engineering & Platform chapter, part of the Data & Digital Channels unit. This unit is at the forefront of transforming our vast data into actionable insights, leading to enhanced customer experiences and industry-leading efficiency.

As an Analytics Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining data models, pipelines, and reporting solutions. You will be part of a team dedicated to building scalable data products that serve the entire organization and enable informed decision-making.

Your Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, building, and maintaining robust data models and pipelines following Lakehouse architecture and utilizing tools like dbt, Databricks, Python, and SQL.
  • Developing scalable reporting solutions and analytical datasets to support various business needs.
  • Working with complex datasets and applying advanced data modeling techniques to ensure high-quality, efficient, and insightful data products.
  • Working with large datasets and optimizing data retrieval with Databricks
  • Ensuring data quality and accuracy through rigorous testing and validation processes.
  • Staying updated with emerging trends and technologies within data and analytics engineering.

Could this be you?

  • Preferably a master’s degree in industrial engineering, computer science, economics or similar.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, such as Analytics Engineer or Data Engineer.
  • Hands-on expertise with dbt, Databricks, Python, Spark and SQL.
  • Experience working with finance-related datasets from systems such as SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, Anaplan, and HFM, along with a strong understanding of their data structures.
  • Working knowledge with S3, GitHub, IaC (preferably, CloudFormation), terraform, IAM, CI/CD or similar.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling principles and best practices for business-critical data processes.
  • A broad understanding of cloud data platform concepts, along with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and ways of working.
  • Experience in developing data & analytics solutions on lakehouse architecture or Synapse/snowflake/other data warehouse solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate fluently at various levels of organization.
  • Fluent language skills in English (Finnish considered as a plus) .

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be good at organizing and planning your own tasks. You’ll also enjoy interacting with different stakeholders and working with your teammates. You’ll be able to create frameworks and models that others on the project can use. We appreciate your expertise, but what we value even more is your ability to develop robust, maintainable solutions that last over time.
