What might your days look like?

As an Analytics Engineer / Data Analyst you will be part of a highly collaborative but remotely distributed team delivering our core reusable data assets that enable report building and insights across the business. We are focused on delivering the most valuable impacts first, while also lifting our documentation, standards and reusability to enable even more speed as we deliver.

  • Data assets development: serve as the directly responsible individual (DRI) to translate business requirements and existing complex queries into a reusable data models / assets using dbt 
  • Data assets cataloguing and documentation: develop and maintain the dbt documentation of core and business-specific data models / assets
  • dbt code convention: maintain and enforce all coding convention and standards across all dbt models, including naming
  • dbt code performance: maintain and develop all dbt models in line with best practices to ensure optimum performance
  • Intra-team collaboration: working with other Data Analyst(s) to translate requirements into reusable and performant data models and with Data Engineer(s) to ensure data model performance is optimised
  • Data Analytics: As part of the Data Analytics team you may also be asked to develop reporting capability or data sources to enable insights to our business stakeholders.  

Requirements

Job Requirement:

    • 4+ years in the Data space as an Data Analyst / Analytics Engineer
    • 4+ years experience designing, implementing, operating, and extending commercial Kimball enterprise dimensional models
    • Demonstrated experience designing and communicating Entity Relationship Diagrams and data model documentation to improve data literacy and adoption
    • Demonstrated ability to understand and translate business requirements / metrics into technical data model development plans
    • Proficient in English both verbal and written
    • dbt experience strongly preferred
