Job Description

Your opportunity

Join a dynamic and rapidly growing company based in the Netherlands, with a footprint extending across Europe. In our journey to make money management effortless for every business in Europe, we are looking for a versatile Analytics Engineer to join our Core Data Products team.

The Core Data Products team acts as a central pool of data engineers, analytics engineers and data analysts, deployed to where they’re needed most. Often, the team works on complex, regulatory projects with bespoke requirements that go beyond what our data platform currently offers. The team also acts as a proving ground for our data platform, testing concepts on a small scale before scaling them across the company.

For this role, we’re looking for a ‘generalist’ analytics engineer – someone who enjoys working across both data engineering and analytics. You will build robust data pipelines, clean and transform raw data, and sometimes dive deep into analysis to inform key business decisions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys tackling complex, ambiguous problems and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Data Products: execute complex projects with bespoke, often regulatory requirements alongside other data engineers and data analysts

  • Data modelling: transform data from different sources into clean, robust, performant, easy to use data models based on the analytical needs of your stakeholders.

  • Data analytics: dive deep into data from different sources to understand and improve business performance by driving business decisions.

  • Data storytelling: turn your insights into compelling stories and share them via presentations, blog posts, memos, dashboards, workshops, or whatever works best!

  • Business Intelligence: build and maintain robust, performant data models (dbt + Looker) to empower your stakeholders to report their most important KPIs.

  • Craft development: contribute to the evolution of the data analytics craft by sharing your insights, challenges and being a vocal member of the analytics community.

What you have:

  • 2+ years experience as a data analyst, analytics engineer or data engineer

  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail

  • Proactive, pragmatic and have a ‘can do’ attitude

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Solid understanding of data modelling, database design, and ETL processes

  • Fluency in SQL (we use BigQuery) and experience with dbt

  • Proficiency in Python

  • Experience working with a BI tool (we use Looker)

  • Experience working with Git

Kindly note that relocation support is not offered for candidates outside of Europe for this role.
