Job Description

We are searching for an Analytics Engineer, who is as passionate about data as we are. You will work at the intersection of Analysts and Data Engineers, allowing you to learn from both and own data solutions from the technical foundation to the final product supporting the business. Tasks

  • Collaborate with data analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to understand and solve data needs end to end
  • Utilize dbt to manage workflow, perform transformations, and maintain data integrity across different stages of the data pipeline.
  • Develop insightful dashboards and reports that drive strategic business decisions.
  • Implement data quality checks (eg Great Expectations, dbt, or Python tests) and governance practices to maintain data integrity and compliance.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and seek opportunities to improve data processes and solutions.
  • Document data processes, models, and definitions clearly for team knowledge sharing and consistency.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in data teams.

  • Positive and solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong technical foundation, including high proficiency with SQL, git, Python and dbt

Experience with data warehouses such as Postgresql, Google BigQuery and any leading data orchestration tool such as Airflow or dagster (which we use)

  • Experience Data visualization and reporting tools such as metabase, PowerBI or Looker) and the ability to distill and present insides and not just numbers
  • Excellent communication skills within the team and the ability to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • You are fluent in German (C1+) AND highly proficient in English (B2+).
  • You are located in Berlin, as the data team meets one day a week in the office.
