The Application Data Analyst gathers, analyzes, and refines data and process workflows in order to routinely deliver insightful, actionable, and timely reporting as well as efficient workflow designs to achieve company goals at a level that meets or exceeds expectations. Projects range from designing and building ad hoc or regularly scheduled reports to designing interface specifications for data exchange with other systems.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates process efficiencies, gathers objective performance data, and conducts analysis, shares findings and partners with operations and IS to design solutions to meet the business needs.
- Work with vendors and act as liaison for business users to develop data interfaces.
- Responds to ad-hoc requests for data by determining users’ needs and collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to provide actionable reports.
- Develops and maintains close working relationships with other departments to support application projects and resolve issues.
- Builds working, interactive, collaborative and influential relationships with business operators and application teams.
- Gains a thorough understanding of outpatient line of business including operational and clinical processes and procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, finance, accounting, computer science, industrial engineering or related field required
- Experience analyzing, documenting, and optimizing business process flows and requirements
- Ability to validate data, assess data quality and implement solutions to improve processes
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Demonstrated analytical and communication skills
- Proven problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Demonstrated team and interpersonal skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Access skills
- Ability to write and communicate effectively
- 1-3 Years experience in performing statistical and strategic analyses
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in industrial engineering, business administration, or healthcare administration
- Working knowledge of industry coding (CPT, ICD10, Revenue Code, etc.)
