The Olympus Data Reconciliation and Engineering team is responsible for delivering enterprise solutions and common operating model, that provides scalable, efficient and standardize processing for complex reconciliations in the global processing hubs. This role, Applications Development Lead for Reconciliation Platform, will be responsible for all aspects of Reconciliation platform design and development and lead the delivery and adoption of our next generation solution.

This role is a senior level position responsible for accomplishing results through the collaboration and engagement with Global Reconciliations Utility (GRU) Ops, Olympus data platform teams and hands on application/platform architecture, design and development delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • As part of the Global Reconciliation Utility (GRU) and Data Engineering team, lead design and development and support of our reconciliation processing and reporting platforms.

  • Provide expertise in areas of product design, software development and ensure application design adheres to the overall Citi’s architecture blueprint

  • Deliver effective, efficient and high-quality solutions to our partners with focus on simplified process, minimizing manual touchpoints and providing self-service accessibility

  • Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions

  • Resolve variety of high impact problems through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards

  • Actively participate in defining priorities and best sequence for execution in support of GRU strategy.

  • Liaise with the various Business Stakeholders across LOBs, Global Risk & Finance to provide a cohesive and comprehensive solutions

  • Influence & negotiate with the Senior Business and Tech Management to prioritize needed execution on the Enterprise wide Data strategies.

  • Foster a culture of innovation and Engineering Excellence across all projects delivered.

  • Implement and adopt best in class DevOps processes across all applications managed.

  • Provide support towards budget and forecasting exercise.

  • Provide vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements

  • Manage and maintain required disaster recovery plans, oversee appropriate testing, and provide permit-to-operate for new applications

  • Champion diversity, inclusion & Voice of Employee metrics across the organization.

  • Contribute to defining and implementing best practices and processes for the department and ensure transparency and consistency across teams

  • Ensure change is managed with appropriate controls, documentation, and approvals including implementation of new and revised regulatory reporting requirements

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards

Qualifications:

  • 16+ years of experience in large Financial Services or Insurance or Telecom companies

  • 12+ years of Software Development and Big Data experience

  • Expertise with data reconciliations, data quality, large data processing and controls

  • Expertise leading large scale Enterprise Transformation initiatives with a clear track record of success

  • Expertise presenting & socializing with Senior Management across Business & Technology

  • Ability to articulate intricacies of Technology Architecture

  • Deep functional and technical experience in Capital Markets across Front Office, Middle Office, Operations, Risk & Finance.

  • Demonstrated leadership, management, and development skills

Skills required:

  • Expertise in gathering business requirements, process visualization and optimization

  • Experience in detailed solution design for application development

  • Detail oriented and proven analytical skills

  • Solid relationship building skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with management and employees across business units.

  • Must have practiced Agile/Scrum

  • Hands on experience with the following tools and technologies:

    • Hadoop, Spark, Kafka

    • Relational SQL and NoSQL databases

    • Experience with Java, Scala, Microservices

    • Expertise in Big Data querying tools e.g. Hive and Impala

    • Experience with NLP/Machine learning

    • Experience with reporting tools, like Tableau

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Master’s degree preferred

$176,720.00 – $265,080.00
