But we all share one goal: to improve the world responsibly and safely.KBR is seeking an Intern to Support exploratory research on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques to develop services for airspace management applications. Examples include optimal scheduling, conflict detection/management, risk assessment, and load balancing within and across airspace domains for drone, air-taxi, and high-altitude air vehicles.REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:· Enrolled in an undergraduate or higher degree program with a relevant engineering or computer science major.· Proficient in Python-coding, computer graphics, linear algebra, data structures, algorithms, and statistics.· Familiar with fundamental machine learning methods for linear and nonlinear regression and classification, including use of neural networks.· Excellent teamwork, written and oral communication skills.· Experience publishing and presenting research at conferences.Other Desired Skills:· Familiarity with airspace management.Basic Compensation:$20.50/hr – $27.50/hrThis range is for the California area onlyThe offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity. Additional Compensation:KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
