The Opportunity
Be an Applied Research Scientist in our Engineering team at Adobe,
working with dedicated professionals in a world-class environment.
Located in San Jose, CA, this outstanding opportunity lets you push
the boundaries of digital experiences.
What you’ll Do
Conduct powerful applied research and develop innovative algorithms
to improve Adobe’s digital media products including Photoshop,
Lightroom, etc.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to successfully implement
your research ideas into real-world applications.
Analyze complex datasets to craft insights and solutions that will
define the future of digital experiences.
Present research findings to both technical and non-technical
audiences to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Mentor junior researchers and contribute to a collaborative and
inclusive team environment.
What you need to succeed
Ph.D. or equivalent experience with 2+ years of industry experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or a Master’s degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years of practical experience.
Proven expertise in large language models, visual language models,
machine learning, computer vision, or a related area, demonstrated
through publications or patents.
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python and C++.
Experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or
PyTorch.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating
outstanding problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach.
A passion for innovation and a drive to compete and succeed in a fast-
paced, ambitious environment.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $129,400 — $242,200 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
