As Business Intelligence Architect you will be a driving force behind our data-driven decision-making. Your role encompasses owning and maintaining the Power BI environment, conducting thorough business and data analyses, crafting robust Power BI solutions, and providing essential support to our business and technical teams. Your expertise in analytics will empower us to extract meaningful insights from our data, enabling strategic growth and informed choices. This is a hands-on position which balances technical competency, business understanding and first-rate communication skills.
Position Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain comprehensive Power BI solutions to offer actionable insights for business needs.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to design and implement data models aligning with business requirements.
- Integrate Power BI solutions with diverse systems and data sources for seamless functionality.
- Optimize Power BI reports and queries to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Conduct thorough testing to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with business and data governance standards.
- Create and update technical documentation including data models, data flows, and user guides.
- Analyze business processes and requirements to provide minimal viable solutions.
- Collaborate across departments to gather requirements and offer data-driven insights.
- Support strategic planning through detailed data analysis.
- Provide training and assistance to end users for BI and analytics data products.
- Manage the entire Power BI environment, including configuration, monitoring, and ensuring smooth operation.
- Handle user access, permissions, and security roles, as well as manage data gateways.
- Assess resource needs, allocate capacity, and optimize system performance.
- Implement strategies for continuous service availability and troubleshoot issues promptly.
- Utilize role-level security and manage security groups within Power BI workspaces.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Power BI certifications are advantageous.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to identify relevant KPIs and translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
- Proficiency in data modeling, DAX, SQL, and Power BI’s data modeling capabilities.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with Power BI service architecture and optimization techniques.
- Strong skills in optimizing Power BI reports for performance.
