AI Engineer

St. Petersburg, FL (Onsite)

Pay Range: $60-75/hr

Design, build, and optimize prompts, Agents, and custom GPTs that power real business workflows. This role owns prompt strategy end-to-end—creating reusable prompt libraries, enabling API-driven integrations (connecting AI to systems and data), and improving output quality at scale. You will work hands-on with tools like Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and Claude to deliver practical solutions, support users directly, and turn AI capabilities into measurable productivity gains.

Responsibilities

• Strong experience with LLMs (large language models: AI systems that generate text) such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot
• Advanced prompt engineering (designing inputs to control AI outputs) and prompt optimization
• Experience with Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Copilot)
• Proficiency in Power BI (data visualization and reporting)
• Familiarity with workflow and automation tools (e.g., APIs, agents, or orchestration frameworks)

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Work Experience

• 4–8 years of experience in AI/ML, NLP (natural language processing: systems that understand language), or applied automation
• At least 2+ years working directly with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI copilots
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments is a plus
