Asia Trials and Product Data Manager

Job Description Summary:

Aviagen is seeking an Asia Trials and Product Data Manager to lead research trials on breeder and broiler performance across the Asia Pacific and China region. If you have a passion for data-driven research and innovation in poultry production, this role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with R&D, Technical Transfer, and Marketing teams while managing diverse projects in nutrition, lighting, bird management, hatchery practices, and processing.

Job Description:

• Design and implement detailed trial protocols for broiler and breeder research.

• Plan and monitor ongoing research trials and test product placements in the region.

• Source and procure chicks, feed, and necessary trial equipment, ensuring timely availability for research.

• Maintain oversight of trial unit practices and procedures, providing training to trial farm personnel focused on best practices.

• Troubleshoot on-farm issues during trials.

• Ensure data integrity, analyze large datasets, and generate timely, accurate research reports and trend analyses.

• Introduce and optimize research topics, data management systems, and trial locations.

• Routinely review protocols, procedures, and data collection methods to get the best result.

• Collect and analyze field information related to broiler and breeder competitiveness.

• Present research findings to internal and external stakeholders as required.

• Conduct regular review meetings with the internal team to provide research updates.

• Manage budgets and control costs, optimizing resource allocation for efficient trial execution.

• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external researchers.

Specific Experience and Qualification:

• Master’s Degree or PhD in Animal Science, Poultry Science, or a related discipline preferred.

• Solid knowledge of statistics and experimental design.

• Experience in live poultry production, hatchery operations, or processing is required.

• Strong analytical and numerical skills with experience handling large datasets.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Prior experience in poultry or animal production is highly beneficial (training provided).

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
