Lewis & Clark College, a private liberal arts college with 2,000 undergraduates, invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship beginning fall 2022. The position is located in the Department of Mathematical Sciences (encompassing mathematics, statistics, and computer science) and also contributes to the College’s new interdisciplinary Data Science program.

Qualifications

Potential for excellence in teaching, research, and contributing to an interdisciplinary department in a liberal arts community is essential. Must be able to contribute broadly to teaching courses from among big data / databases, introductory statistics, and algorithms. Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field required at the time of appointment as a tenure-track member of the faculty. Usual load is five courses per academic year and includes regular participation in the College’s general education program.

Eligibility to Work
