Associate Consultant Data Engineer for TMT

We are looking for Associate Consultant to work within our rapidly growing team with strong technical expertise in data engineering.

Role Description 

• Working in project teams to develop data engineering solutions for our clients and should be able to drive projects independently 

• Working with client stakeholders to gather requirements and build solutions 

• Building data engineering solutions on-premises and in the cloud to move and process data between systems/platforms 

• Designing and building data pipelines to feed models for analytical purposes 

• Supporting team with proof of concepts and demonstrations • Undertaking technical training to acquire and demonstrate expertise in data engineering and design & build of solutions

Essential:

 • Experience of developing data engineering solutions including tackling common challenges such as requirements gathering and developing robust solutions 

• Using SQL/ PySpark to transform data and perform analysis, including the design of data models such as star schemas 

• Experience of using Python including its built-in libraries and knowledge of data manipulation packages for data wrangling, scraping and automation

• Experience in data engineering development on cloud (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP) and on big data technologies such as Apache Spark or Databricks 

• Experience reviewing your and other’s work, identifying errors and recommending solutions 

• Strong analytical and interpretative skills 

• Written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to describe complex technical issues in a clear and non-technical way 

• Experience in visualization tools eg Power BI/tableau 

• Candidate should have a minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering projects

Desirable: 

• Experience using modern software development practices such as code versioning software, code testing and deployment e.g. CI/CD 

• Exposure to multiple services like data factory, synapse in Azure or MS Fabric Qualification B.Tech in related disciplin
