Job Title: Associate, Data Engineering

Duties: Drive alignment and transparency with the firm’s internal and external stakeholders to improve the interaction with the data platform. Maintain partnerships as well as deliver for Data & AI. Own business partner engagement along with sharing key updates and providing insights for representative client segments. Analyze metrics of the user experience and suggest improvements. Act as an advocate in prioritization forums for strategic projects and manage expectations of delivery. Partner with members of Data & AI to present proposed solutions back to our partners. Three (3) days in office and two (2) days remote per week.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Computational Finance and Risk Management, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field, and one (1) year of experience as a Junior Quantitative Analyst or a related role. Employer will also accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computational Finance and Risk Management, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field, and three (3) years of experience as a Junior Quantitative Analyst or a related role. One (1) year of experience with: utilizing Python, R, and SQL; analyzing and ensuring product control and assisting with portfolio allocation; implementing the adaptation and progression of key metrics and analytics throughout the investment lifecycle as investment strategies shift; stabilizing and elevating the data delivery process throughout risk and return platforms; and communicating with stakeholders and assessing products, portfolios, and investment services information and the impact on client reporting. If qualifying with a Bachelor’s degree, must have three (3) years of experience with the aforementioned skills.

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $138,200 – $152,500. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
