Job Description
The Opportunity:
Booz Allen’s Digital Battlespace team is seeking an experienced AI project manager to lead the development of autonomous technologies and systems for our client. This effort will identify and mature autonomy technologies with a team of software engineers and architects, machine learning engineers, and systems engineers to provide the DoD with an Autonomy Hub to develop and mature various technologies and tools needed to deploy AI.
This role will work closely with government clients to build and scale autonomous systems to support a government Autonomy Hub. You’ll work closely with both government SMEs and with our engineers to deliver these paradigm shifting technologies and ensure that the deliverables and demonstrations meet the government’s need and intent. Your work here will enable the delivery of AI and Autonomy solutions to our nation.
As an experienced engineer, you know that machine learning is critical to understanding and processing massive datasets. Your ability to conduct statistical analyses on business processes using ML techniques makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused solution. We need your technical knowledge and desire to problem-solve to support a government autonomy hub developing solutions for warfighters. As a machine learning engineer on our Digital Battlespace team, you’ll train, test, deploy, and maintain models that learn from data.
In this role, you’ll lead the direction of mission-critical solutions by applying best-fit ML algorithms and introducing leading-edge technologies. You’ll share your knowledge with a large community of machine learning engineers across the firm and collaborate with other AI&ML experts, developers, and engineers to deliver world class solutions to create a centralized repository for Autonomy Development and Tools supporting warfighters. Your advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise will guide clients as they navigate the landscape of ML algorithms, tools, and frameworks.

You Have:

8+ years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications

5+ years of experience developing system architecture or requirements to develop and deploy autonomy applications

3+ years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software for Machine Learning, Computer
Vision or Autonomy -
3+ years of experience developing and deploying CI/CD pipelines for AI, ML or Autonomy

Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment

Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance

Secret clearance

Bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree
Nice If You Have:

Experience with modular open systems approach (MOSA) standards

Experience with object-oriented and service-oriented architecture software development

Knowledge of data classification tools for ML

Knowledge of cloud architecture and deployment frameworks for AI

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $125,600.00 to $285,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
