The position

As a Business Intelligence Analyst at Novo Nordisk, you will:

  • Work closely with a diverse group of stakeholders, including business and data analysts, leadership teams, and technical experts.
  • Develop and maintain interactive and visually appealing Power BI dashboards and reports, using advanced visualisation techniques to clearly convey complex data insights.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective BI visualisations, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
  • Utilise Power BI’s advanced features, including data blending, calculated fields, table calculations, and parameters, to address complex analytical and reporting challenges.
  • Design and implement efficient and scalable data models, calculations, and transformations within databases, with the help of Data Engineering, to support Power BI reporting, focusing on optimising performance.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and BI best practices, actively incorporating new features and capabilities into BI solutions to enhance the depth and breadth of data visualisation.

 

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

Need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience developing data-driven applications using SQL databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle DB, MS SQL Server, etc.).
  • 3-5 years of experience using Power Platforms like Power BI Desktop, Power Automate, or Power Apps.
  • Excellent skills in creating DAX queries and data modelling.
  • In-depth knowledge of data visualisation principles and best practices.
  • Experience with data modelling and ETL processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience in a senior or lead BI development role in various BI tools (Power BI, QlikView, Qlik Sense, Tableau, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications like CoPilot, Fabric, etc.
  • Coding experience in automation, data exploration, and data mining tools such as VBA, Python, and R.
  • Coding experience in SharePoint, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • Certifications in MS Power BI and Azure.
  • Exposure to AI & ML technologies.
