Currently, we’re looking for a BI Analyst to join our Analytics team. If you are communicative, data-driven and passionate about analytics in the Google Cloud, then this role is for you.

The role should face the increased demand for BI solutions and hands-on data analytics in the Order-To-Cash (OTC) area within the Finance organization. The primary focus will be on applying advanced ETL techniques to data available in the cloud data lake and developing BI solutions that are used every day by a large user base on a global scale.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

 

  • Build the code and logic required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, applying best practices for advanced data modelling and sound data warehouse principles.
  • Building analytics solutions such as company-wide dashboards (Data Studio), connected sheets (Google Sheets) and custom queries (SQL) that provide valuable insights for business users.
  • Implement data integrity and automation tools (Apps Script/Google Cloud) to reduce manual data preparation and validation work
  • Act as a data domain owner for OTC data in Google Cloud. Ensure proper documentation, version control, metadata maintenance and data catalogues that support the developments in the area.
  • Work closely with the OTC Management Team (Service Delivery Lead, Team Leads),  Finance Transformation teams (GPOs, Process managers) and Business Stakeholders to identify areas for improvement in the field of data and process analytics.
  • Own improvement initiatives in the field of analytics and process redesign. Make sure that  all developments in the analytics area are well-aligned between the different stakeholders
  • Collaborate actively  with the Cloud Architects, Data Engineers, Corporate IM solution teams and external service providers 
  • Work towards the establishment of a self-service culture by providing support, training and sharing of best practices to data analysts, power users and casual business users
     

What you’ll need to succeed

 

 

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Computer science or other related areas
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Finance BPO (preferably in OTC/Accounts Receivable) or BI / Analytics function
  • Good understanding of relational database management systems and/or cloud-based platforms: data modelling, architectures and pipelines. Google Cloud Platform and Google BigQuery experience would be an advantage.
  • Good understanding of and ability to write and debug complex SQL queries, stored procedures and functions.
  • Experience as a power user of Business Intelligence systems/tools such as Data Studio, Qlik Sense, Power BI, etc.
  • Comfortable adopting software engineering best practices like version control, testing, and continuous integration by using Git, BitBucket, etc.
  • Advanced user of spreadsheet applications
  • Experience in SAP and working with raw SAP tables is a plus
  • Experience in using Python for data engineering is a plus
  • Experience in using Apps Script (or Javascript) for automation of repetitive tasks and workflows is a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Full professional proficiency of written and oral English
  • Strong customer service focus
