BI Developer
Job Description
Exiger is looking for talented Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our expanding Product team. The role is responsible for driving the dashboarding, reporting and data pipelines enabling the next generation of Exiger product. You will be working with a growing team of in-house engineers, Data Scientists and QA engineers, innovating and expanding on Exiger’s web-based product offerings. Our ideal candidates have demonstrable experience building and supporting highly scalable, secure infrastructure, have a positive attitude and enjoy experimenting with new technologies and stacks. Candidates may be required to perform a code test or white boarding exercise as part of the interview process.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, build and deploy dashboards and widgets to enable innovation and product advancement
- Analyze and understand data, how it’s structured in the source, our data warehouse, and how it’s reflected in the dashboard widgets
- Coordinate with Product Managers (PM) to get priorities on these changes
- Coordinate with QA to validate data presentation, ensure data quality, and test changes ahead of new releases
- Support User Experience discussions related to dashboards, including when new data sources / fields are added
- Contribute to the drafting of release notes
- Understand data, how it’s structured in data sources
- Experience designing user-facing products
- Ability to independently fulfil tasks and responsibilities with minimal technical supervision
What You Need:
- Bachelors’ degree in a computer science or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience
- Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Scientist
- Experience designing customer facing dashboards and reports
- Deep knowledge of BI tools including Sisense
- Ability to author Javascript and CSS based plugins to integrate with BI tools
- Advanced to Expert SQL knowledge
- Experience with DevOps and GitOps practices
- Self-manager with the ability to perform well under little supervision
- Demonstrated ability to author data pipeline tools using Python, web apis and similar technologie
- Critical thinking skills, with the ability to organize and articulate effective problem-solving solutions
