Position Summary

In the BI Developer role, you will be working with the Analytics Manager for Huron Insight Analytics team to make impact on the data driven solutions. This role is based in Bengaluru, India, and will work with Software Development and Corporate IT, and practice resources based in the US and India.

Under limited direction, this individual is responsible for gathering requirements, creating solutions with Architect and develop the Power BI reports that will improve data driven deicsions for practices across Huron. This individual participates in complete analytics lifecycle from connecting to the data sources, following design standards and develop the cutting edge descriptive analytical dashboards and reports. In this role you will also create technical specifications based on conceptual design and business requirements and will consult with project and business teams to prototype, refine, test, and debug Power Bi dashboards.

Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities
+ Translate stakeholders’ requirements into reporting deliverable and workflows
+ Design and develop interactive data visualization and dashboards and report generation.
+ Develop performance metrics and analytic workflows
+ Deliver standard reports on Power BI with the provided design guidelines and ad-hoc reports and analyses to the client stakeholders
+ Build the data models and understands the relational database joins to work with Power BI.
+ Present analytic solutions to business audiences highlighting robustness of the solution and how it could help generate business value
+ Responsible for individually contributing to analytics projects, collaborating with client stakeholders and Huron’s team situated globally.
+ Participate in discussions with team members to select and apply relevant analytic techniques and create actionable business insights.
+ Work closely with the data teams and ensure the data availability for the solutions expected for all projects.
+ Contributes to team processes and methodology to improve delivery, quality, and effectiveness.
+ Works on other projects and tasks as deemed necessary.
+ Works in collaboration with the offshore development team.
+ Works closely with the QA team in the testing software and remediation of issues.

Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) with 5+ years of industry experience.
+ As a BI Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing BI visuals and dashboards.
+ Should be a passionate business intelligence personal and a Power BI champion.
+ Should have min. of 3+ years of experience in Power BI report development.
+ Good understanding of the capabilities and constraints of the business intelligence reporting.
+ Strong background in data and business analysis
+ Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL, SQL Server also connecting to them over the cloud platforms.
+ Must be very strong in writing DAX calculations on Power BI.
+ Should be able to figure out workarounds for various visualization challenges.
+ Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environmental-starter; ability to complete assigned tasks with limited supervision.
+ Successful experience working with global teams across multiple geographies and time zones.
+ Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
+ Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
