ROLE OVERVIEW: 

We are looking for a BI Developer role focused on transforming complex business data into actionable insights. The position requires technical expertise in Power BI, Python, and SQL, with responsibilities spanning data pipeline creation, dimensional modeling, dashboard development, and stakeholder collaboration. Key skills include translating business requirements into scalable BI solutions, ensuring data integrity, and optimizing performance across data visualization and analysis platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Data Pipelining: Building data pipelines to fetch data from strategic and tactical data sources into BI Platform.
• Data Modeling: Designing Star/Snowflake dimensional data models that are both scalable and performant at the same time.
• Developing dashboards: Creating dashboards and reports that help businesses understand and act on complex data.
• Maintaining data integrity: Ensuring data accuracy and performance
• Communicating insights: Sharing insights to help improve corporate decision-making.
• DevOps tools: Implement an effective CICD process. Familiarity with Airflow, Tabular Editor etc. tools is a plus.
• Collaborating with stakeholders: Working with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into data visualizations.
• Optimizing data models and dashboards/reports: Optimizing Dashboards/Reports and the underlying data models for good performance and scalability

KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft’s Power BI Platform.
• Strong background in data and business analysis, along with analytical and communications skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective and scalable business intelligence solutions.
• Expertise in Python, with a strong foundation in data manipulation and data analysis
• Expertise in SQL with RDBMS & MPP Systems, with experience in building database objects (Tables, Views & Stored Procedures)
• Experience in building Data Pipelines and using workflow orchestration tools, such as Airflow, Dagster or Prefect – nice to have
• Linux or Windows server-side scripting experience using Bash or PowerShell – nice to have
