Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a BI Developer to provide BI Solutions, build insight reports to increase efficiency of Verisk processes.
Responsibilities:
• Development of BI solutions to provide business insights, identify process gaps, data gaps.
• Generate Dashboards and reports in PowerBI and Excel visualizations,
• Perform data analysis, data profiling.
• Provide technical support, after development production support, maintenance of applications.
• Work collaboratively with senior BI developers under their guidance and mentorship, provide timely status updates
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 1 to 3 years of proven experience in Business Intelligence solutions, support and maintenance
- Demonstrated experience with building dashboards, visualizations, reports using any of the BI tools like PowerBI, Tableau, MS-Excel etc.
- Exposure to any of the following technologies: Python, SQL scripts, AWS is a plus.
- Experience with ETL processes, data analysis is a plus
- 1+ years of experience with any one of database technologies like SQL server, DynamoDB, PostGre, NoSQL etc.
- Experience in deploying the dashboards on Azure, PowerBI Servers is a plus.
- Experience generating KPIs, time series graphs, trends with BI tools is a plus
- Ability to implement functional look and feel, experience in designing the dashboards
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical capabilities, troubleshoot data gaps, data issues.
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Conversant with Agile and scrum methodologies
Education/ Experience
- Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field required
