Job Description

The Forest division is responsible for wood sourcing for Stora Enso’s Nordic and Baltic operations and B2B customers. It manages the Group’s forest assets in Sweden and a 41% share of Tornator, whose forests are mainly located in Finland. The division’s operations are based on sustainable forest management from planning and logistics to harvesting and forest regeneration.

We are now looking for an experienced BI Developer for Forest Division for a permanent position. The position is in Falun, Sweden, and we are now working in a hybrid model. Your main task would be to support the Swedish business unit with their data needs as a part of local data team of 3-4 persons. The team is also part of divisional data service organization, and thus you will also participate in divisional data projects and other initiatives, which require good English skills.

In a BI Developer role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Understand information needs consulting business stakeholders and turn those into specifications for data solutions.
  • Create data models and participate in building a data warehouse applying Snowflake and dbt.
  • Create reports in Power BI
  • Train and support users
  • Documentation and testing

Other tasks and responsibilities depending on your own interests and experience level.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a person who has previously already worked with BI reporting, data engineering and data visualizations. You might have already held a role as a data engineer, data analyst, business analyst or as a data savvy controller or something else related to data and the development of BI solutions.

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have the following skills and experiences:

  • Experience in writing SQL code
  • Understanding in data architectures and best practices
  • Experience in visualizing data in a BI tool such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or others
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Professional experience or education in data
  • Effective communication skills
  • Fluent in Swedish and proficient level of English

It is considered an advantage if you have:

  • Knowledge of forestry and its processes
  • Experience with Snowflake and/or dbt, SAP BW/SAC
