JOIN THE TEAM
In our Product Team – Business Intelligence Core & Platform – you together with the team are in an active role to further develop and operate the Corporate Reporting Platform based mainly on SAP Business Warehouse of BASF Group.
In this role, you will do Technical Management and Quality Assurance in a highly integrated and complex SAP Business Warehouse. There is a close collaboration with the BW application teams. On BASFs path forward to BW/4HANA you will be an essential part of the preparation in the current system and in the future project.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Within the Technical Management you will measure the pulse of the system and collaborate with the SAP Basis team. With your experience you keep the system running. In addition, you regularly run maintenance tasks, continuous service improvement, do housekeeping and support in test activities
- You also perform architectural Quality Assurance which entails the consultancy of projects/change requests as well the ensures quality of custom code coming from the developers. You also create and maintain rules and guidelines.
- In BASFs path forward for Business Intelligence you will be a key-player for the migration from BW 7.5 to BW/4HANA. In the preparation of that, your responsibility/contribution is to support the unit to make the current system BW/4 ready as well as to prepare the future project with the (project) team.
- You do software developments on your own, but also take over the management of developments in cooperation with internal colleagues or external service providers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business informatics or business administration with a focus on IT or computer science with a focus on business administration. Alternatively, you have a comparable completed vocational training with several years of IT experience in various functions.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in IT related topics.
- You have experience and a passion for how to operate a SAP Business Warehouse
- Within the Technical Management you can easily collaborate with SAP Basis team and your contribution in Quality Assurance helps projects and developers to fulfil BASF requirements to security and quality and to deliver high quality solutions.
- You are experienced in ABAP / ABAP OO in the BW environment and have a solid knowledge of native SQL.
- You can communicate clearly and authentically in English (spoken and written)
- You like to work in an international team.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience in a BW/4 migration
- Experience working agile with a DevOps mindset.
- In-depth knowledge of HANA native development
- Knowledge in frontend-tools for SAP BW like SAP Analytics Cloud or Analysis for Office
